
COPENHAGEN – one spoon of sugar in coffee or tea reduces the chance becoming thick considerable. That becomes clear from a Danish research under 5200 men. The research workers speak concerned about this surprising outcome. The scientists of the Copenhague Bispebjerg hospital suspect that sugar reduces the appetite. Possibly hormones which reduce the feeling of hunger, is activated. The group that took sugar in, proved clearly more slimmer than the sugarless coffee group or tea group. He who uses two sugar spoons a day and an average five or six cups of coffee or tea a day, has 40 per cent less chance in weight increasing than persons who drink without sugar.
