Dutch won the World Solar Challenge again

Adelaide, Australia, 28 September 2005 – The Dutch Nuon Solar team has won the World Solar Challenge Race 2005. The Nuna 3 passed the finish at 13.45 uur local time in Adelaide. The race distance was 3021 kilometer from Darwin to Adelaide, the Nuna has set an new record with their 29 hours and 11 minutes their average record breaking speed was 102,75 km/h.

For the first time a team wins the World Solar Challenge race for three times in a row.
It is a shame though that the MIT solar car was damaged and could therefore not become a true competitor during the race. Reading the comments, all cars including nuna4 (?) will drive even faster next year under the same weather circumstances.
