Lawrence Lessig argues that the current media-industry and copyright system blindly push for their safeguarding and defending commercial goals in such way that they have become responsible for the destruction of the youth-culture on the Internet. He fears that the Media-industry is now pushing as far to ban music exchange and mashing altogether [jeroendb]. For example ideas as building software to kill good singing fans , kill the free availability of the song texts, mass sue youtube and myspace, introduce DRM forms that just corrupt music and more. Unsurprising there is now even a “down with drm contest” at freeculture.org.
