Voting corruption – the real thing

There are politicians apparently that do like to risk everything. Still cannot believe those voting computers are actively being hunted down for corruption. However, this video does look very real.

        Privacy 2006

        privacy2006

European countries are known for defending their privacy and of course not for the gossip magazines alone. But even Europe has apparently a tough time preserving those basic standards. According to the last privacy survey “The Netherlands systematically fails to uphold safeguards“. The conclusion page of the survey (easy to read) has some more ratings. (via)

          For Sale

          lol

Feel like becoming a radio astronomer ? Because there are plenty of ready and available world class & famous radio dishes. It sounds a bit like the Hubble Space telescope discussion, only then way easier reachable on earth. Since anyone can just fly to it, cannot imagine it will stay vacant very long, would it?

              Patents, another example

scriptThe “script” tag will now cost you money, because standing on shoulders of giants, wouldn’t you boldly charge for others peoples ideas even if they written down you can’t. But hey, its a software patent who cares? It is even worse than the joke JibJab played a while back.

                Vloggies 2006 Winners

vloggiesThe website itself isn’t updated as yet, however Scoble has the list. There was much more interest then expected apparently. The venue was the same place as where Wordcamp was held. I see a couple of familiar names and probably most of them do sort out the respect that the price gives them. Anyway, Laughing Squid has a nice colorful review up and soon Technorati and Flickr will be full of it. 2006 is the year of the Vlog.

                    Ted and Muntz

This video from 1999 with reverend Muntz proofs that Ted Haggard always was a fraud.

For our English readers Muntz is a hoax, when asked to say something in Dutch to the viewers he says the following:

God Damm, please empty your pockets and give this swindler all your money.

                    Godverdomme means God Damm
Also watch W.V. Grant and Muntz.

I am trying to build community blogs with WordPress. One of the features that would be very nice is a WordPress Agenda plugin that would enable my users to update events and place them on a shared agenda, without leaving the WordPress weblog.

                          How to get in E-business

logoBlueace is referring to an interview with Arrington on what he views as right ebusiness ideas from both presentation and viability point of view.

Maybe it comes from the fear of another internet bubble or recent publications like the elevator pitch, that we see more focus on these general business principles.

Similar as writing a decent business plan with accounting figures in it can help developing your ideas (not selling the idea alone) better, may I assume that this approach is a general one and more likely to stay than other ones?

greatWe wrote before about torture and clearly condemn it. As UN-member, The Netherlands has undersigned this basic human right (art. 5) and there are even torture trails being held in the country. With some hot issues of indirect torture from immigration actions but not direct involvement as such, you would think the Dutch torture position and reputation are looking bright.

                                                Microsoft & Patents

suitsIn 1991, Microsoft CEO Bill Gates warned that patents could bring the software market to a complete standstill and drive out small players.

In 1994, Microsoft was the only software company at the USPTO hearings which spoke in favor of software patentability.

Jup, Talk is cheap. Microsoft is again showing its true color again, now abusing patent exactly as it warned in 1991 to compete and conquer the sever industry.
