Blogging till you reaallly drop
High frequency blogging/messaging has recently become more popular with new services as Twitter and Jaiku. Its like mixing IM with SMS, Some call it an EM application (everywhere messaging). Your social contacts can receive your sms-alike messages (with or without links in them) and with many tools available, its simpeler and faster too.
While you could easily point to some problems (point 3 and 4 for example) we had those with IM and IRC too. Knowning when its useful for you or not might just be part of the learning curve. Twitter might actually be more interesting for “what are your not doing” (eg. seeing, liking, enjoying etc.).
On the more general scale, I don’t see why many existing applications in phones with IRC, IM and SMS couldn’t upgrade towards a twitter like application. Let’s see what happens.
