A music video I took and cut together to fit the Moog Cookbook Remix of Kelly Watch The Stars by Air. The original video is from a 70s disco version of Apache (By the Tommy Seebach band).

          You cannot chat

          landlock

While some polls discuss about the age people should be allowed to chat online (due to sexscandals of old men), apparently even being over 20 years old isn’t enough for some judges.

              Masters 1997

Already 10 years ago Tiger Woods made a social statement in the American Golf sport. The US Masters is considered at least one of the four, it not the biggest Golf Tournements in the World, comparable with the Grand Slams in tennis. In golf at that time no minority player had been able to participate and win the US Masters. In early days even players were forbidden to play the course. By winning the tournament as the youngest player and with a really record breaking score he changed that fact. Here’s a short interview how he looks at it now..

                  How the Media works

journalistAs part of their six part series about the Middle-East, Tegenlicht has chosen to review the media coverage of this part of the world. Dutch Journalist of the year Joris Luyendijk analyses the media and compares it with his own experiences. Although much of the story of how news reaches the viewers is absolutely no news for the industry, unfortunally few viewers seem really aware of the full extend.

Moreover Luyendijk argues that it should be the moral and professional responsibility of the industry itself in becoming more transparent about it. Unfortunally this documentary is in Dutch. For those non-Dutch enjoy then how the Daily Show remakes Al Jazeera to the Media standard. (more…)

While Google Earth and Microsoft Virtual Earth have been around for a while, its good to see that more programmers of events are picking these nice tool up. Nice example is the Marathon of Rotterdam which is held tomorrow.

The organisation has placed the course online in Google Earth.

                          Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Reenactment

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuclear attacks during World War II on the Empire of Japan by the United States of America under US President Harry S. Truman. On August 6, 1945, the nuclear weapon “Little Boy” was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, followed on August 9, 1945 by the detonation of the “Fat Man” nuclear bomb over Nagasaki.

                            Why data retention is bullshit

                                IPRED2

zoOn April 24th25th, the European Parliament will vote on IPRED2, the Second Intellectual Property Enforcement Directive. With one stroke, they risk turning thousands of innocent EU citizens and businesses into copycriminals. Only you can stop them. Sign the petition here.

Europe already has laws against these fraudsters. With many terms in IPRED2 left unclear or completely undefined – including “commercial scale” and “incitement” – IPRED2 will expand police authority and make suspects out of legitimate consumers and businesses, slowing innovation and limiting your digital rights.

                                Again a bad EU idea.
