David Agus: A new strategy in the war on cancer

Traditionally, David Agus explains, cancer treatments have had a short-sighted focus on the offending individual cells. He suggests a new, cross-disciplinary approach, using atypical drugs, computer modeling and protein analysis to treat and analyze the whole body.

Last week Twones got a visit from StartHub.nl, the website that portrays Dutch technology start-ups. StartHub got an exclusive look behind the scenes and grabbed the atmosphere in our office very well. ‘It’s deadly serious, but it’s also serious fun’. Check out the video (in Dutch) to get an impression of who we are, how our office looks like (sometimes) and to get a sneak preview of our next release. Rock, rock on!

                                Enterprise 2.0 Adoption Strategies

                                web 2.0 enterprise

No conversation about Enterprise 2.0 proceeds very far without coming to the idea of Return on Investment (ROI). Often champions of Enterprise 2.0 within the organization must be able to tell a compelling ROI story to their management before they can gain approval to move forward with their project.

Still, it is possible to affect positive ROI when it comes to Enterprise 2.0. It’s a matter of shaping the tools to the needs of your organization, knowing what you’re trying to achieve before you begin and taking an active approach to adoption. It’s about recognizing adoption not as something that happens, but as something you create.

The considerations that go into creating that adoption are the subject of this paper

                                  Global Peace-Index

While probably not fully scientific and with some slack, food for thought, why this is. For one, it does not show where the war comes from, thus indirect war then seems unrated. Another one, GDP vs peace, GDP vs religion, really that suprising? Ow, define peace…
                                  still food for though.
